Not sure how known this is, but I’ve just discovered that iOS apps Textastic and iA Writer, when using iCloud, allows you to access folders within a folder. You’re not able to drag & drop files to the folder, but if you know how to access iCloud on your Mac, then it might be somewhat useful.
